PreSeason Nationals

This past weekend, 8 of Stoughton's Youth Wrestlers traveled to Cedar Falls, Iowa to participate in the 2010 USA Wrestling Preseason Nationals at the UNI Dome.
With over 1500 wrestlers in attendance from over 31 States, Joe Nelson took Champion-1st place in the 136 lb. bracket for 7th & 8th graders, Caleb Smith placed 3rd in the 84 lb. bracket for 7th & 8th grade and Chance Suddeth placed 2nd in the 40 lb. bracket for 1st & 2nd Graders. Congratulations Stoughton Wrestlers!


 Youth Director Information

Jenifer Model at sgjenifer@charter.net  Tournaments are optional but encouraged. Fun competition helps improve wrestling skills. Children attending tournaments are usually coached by their parents or may be coached by another club member/parent. Many parents are happy to coach your child, just ask! The club will again pay for 5 tournaments entry fees this year. Some of these tournaments are pre-registration; please fill out registration forms and return by the deadline. Information will also be posted in the wrestling room.

Monday & Wednesday (Practice Starts 11/17)
K-4th Grade will be 6:00-7:00 p.m.
5-8th Grade will be 7:00-8:15 p.m.
** (Goal: Skill development, Everyone attends like normal)

Tues & Thurs 6:00-7:30 p.m. (Practice Starts 11/18)
**(Goal: Hard Drilling from skills presented the night before, live wrestling, conditioning) (Athlete behavior during practice has high expectations are met
